
WELLNESS AT KMS
HEALTH AWARENESS AND CHECK-UP CAMPS
Kamal Model Sr. Sec. School organizes a comprehensive health check-up camp for
teachers, students, and staff in collaboration with Medanta, Max, Tara Netralaya and the IDA, West
Delhi Branch. The camp includes eye check-ups, dental examinations, and BMI assessments, by medical
professionals providing personalized consultations and practical advice on maintaining good
health.
As part of the initiative, de-worming tablets are distributed among students to promote better
health and prevent parasitic infections. School actively raises awareness among students about
infectious diseases commonly occurring during the rainy season. The school also organizes
informative sessions on maintaining a healthy diet, encouraging students to adopt nutritious eating
habits for overall well-being.


PROTECTION OF CHILDREN FROM SEXUAL OFFENCES ACT
A Legal Literacy Programme on the POCSO Act was conducted in 2019,
aimed at raising awareness about child safety and protection from sexual offences. The session was
conducted by Ms. Archna Mishra (Advocate).
It focused on educating students about safe and unsafe touch and explained child-friendly judicial
mechanisms for reporting offences. The programme also discussed ways to deal with and report
uncomfortable or harmful situations.
The session helped students become more aware, alert, and empowered to seek help.
VACCINATION AWARENESS
Educated students and parents about the importance of vaccines in preventing serious diseases. Explained how vaccines train the immune system to fight infections like cholera, tuberculosis, smallpox, and hepatitis. School collected vaccination details from parents by asking for students’ vaccination cards. Awareness sessions focused on how vaccines provide lifelong protection. Emphasized the role of vaccination in building a healthier society. Informed parents that vaccination reduces the risk of chronic illnesses and complications.
